I'm posting snippets from a story for this year's Challenge.
If you'd like to read the whole tale, please start with A.
K IS FOR KISS
I don't need to see to know what look you have on your face. I can tell by the way your voice trailed off there. Fenn sighed. It's been nearly a week. Stop daydreaming.
"I can't help it. That kiss." Danielle smiled and leaned her head against her hand. She pressed her lips together as if she could still feel Erik's on them.
It had only been one kiss, but the world whooshed out from under her. Floating on a cloud was too mild of a way to describe it. She'd been spinning with galaxies. Her dreams replayed it over and over, but it wasn't like the real thing.
We were discussing the effect of the Kentucky school shooting on your students. Focus, Danielle. Fenn urged with an exasperated exhale.
"I am focused." Just not on what her guide wanted. She smiled again.
I like this :)
