Teaser Tuesday with Rampant

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
Killer unicorns. Yes, I laughed too, but Rampant by Diana Peterfreund is really good. I'll say it again: killer unicorns. Pick this one up!
Here's your teaser:
A growl curled the corner of its jaw, revealing tiny, sharp fangs. Blood was drying in its slightly matted hair, but I saw no injuries at all. It turned to me and, just like the one in the woods, swept into a quick bow. (page 48)

REMINDER: I'm over at Kathleen Doyle's Thirsty Thursday blog with a post on writing action scenes. Come over and say hi!

  1. Killer unicorns makes me think of the killer bunny rabbit in Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
