Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
- Grab your current read
- Open to a random page
- Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
- BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
- Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
My teaser:
My slumbers are filled with disturbing dreams. The face of the redheaded girl intertwines with gory images from earlier Hunger Games, with my mother withdrawn and unreachable, with Prim emaciated and terrified. (page 86)
Love this series! It's been a few years since I read it, so I was curious about your teaser. Hope you enjoy it!

ReplyDelete"Do you recall the tale I told you of our first meeting, Imp?" Prince Oberyn asked, as the Bastard of Godsgrace knelt before him to fasten his greaves.
ReplyDeleteA Storm of Swords, by George R.R. Martin (page unknown, reading on my Kindle)
I guess I haven't read this one because of all the "hype," and I usually let things settle...
ReplyDeleteTempting teaser, though!

I too have been staying away from this series because of all the hype, but I think I'll cave eventually! Here's my teaser for the week.
ReplyDeleteI really need to make time to read the Hunger Games! Perhaps after September. *crosses fingers*
ReplyDeleteawesome book! hope the movie doesnt disappoint. hav you seen the amatuer productions? they are realistic and really good!
ReplyDeleteThank you to everyone for stopping by! I know I sometimes avoid reading books because of the hype, but The Hunger Games is truly a great read.
ReplyDeleteCherie, you'll get some time eventually! My TBR list is way too long now too.
Tara, no, I haven't seen them yet. If the movie sticks close to the book, it will be excellent!
ReplyDeleteI finally finished Game of Thrones. :D I enjoyed it. Started Perdido Street Station by China Meiville. So far, so good. Shades of Neverwhere in some ways.
ReplyDeleteGreat teaser. Really need to read this series.
ReplyDeleteSally.

I've not been in a hurry to read this series, figuring I'd get to it eventually. But now that there are movie plans I'm going to have to get on this sooner rather than later, I guess...and I imagine that I'll also be saying, "Why didn't I read this sooner!?"
ReplyDelete;o)
M Pax, I'm happy you liked Game of Thrones. The rest of the books are equally as enthralling.
ReplyDeleteSunny, that was the way it was with me! You won't be disappointed by them. I'm giving up writing time to read it. That's how good it is!
Great teaser! This book was definitely unique and very good. I hope you enjoy. :D My teaser can be found here!
ReplyDeleteThis is one of my favorite books (trilogies). Simply awesome.
ReplyDeleteHi Christine, first time visitor and follower. Nice to meet you. This sounds like one of Charlie Brown's worst dreams. You know ... the redhead girl? ANd when have we ever seen his mother? Never. Talk about withdrawn and unreachable.
ReplyDeleteStephen, hehehe! You're right. Now I'm going to be imagining Charlie Brown in the Hunger Games!
ReplyDeleteI finished the first book and loved it. I can't wait for the movie!
ReplyDeleteBTW, do you have anything for me to beta read??
ReplyDeletei LOVED this book. so much. I can't wait for the movie!
ReplyDeleteAubrie, you have some time? Then I'll send something to your email. :)
ReplyDeleteTrish, I can't wait either!
I also only read these recently. The series is AH-MAZING!
ReplyDeleteSo glad you're reading The Hunger Games. I LOVE that trilogy. Can't wait for the movie... come on, March!
