Friday Five for April 10, 2015 plus Letter I

1. Last Friday, my son was hit by a rotten stomach virus. This week, it found a new host in me. I still feel like a zombie, but we're both doing better. Hopefully the weather will hold and be nice for the weekend.

2. It's that time again when I have to renew my passport. I hate having my picture taken. It always looks like a mug shot.

3. I haven't done much writing at all. I've watched several episodes of Castle, though! I'm almost done with season five.

4. Tomorrow we register my little guy for kindergarten. Wow. I'm so excited and panicking at the same time! It's like pre-release jitters.

5. Check out the Untethered Realms blog today for the letter I and a little teaser from Of Blood and Sorrow.

  2. Oh, yikes, that really sucks about the stomach virus. Glad you and your son have been feeling better, at the very least!

I can relate to the picture taking.
And nothing wrong with binge watching Castle.

  7. I hope you and your son feel better!

It's always tough when a child first starts kindergarten, but after a while you'll be glad he's in school so you can have some peace and quiet. ;)

  8. I really want to check out Castle. I know a lot of people like that show. I'll check to see if earlier seasons are on Netflix.

  9. Chrys, oh yes. That is one thing I'm really looking forward to. I have big dreams for how much my productivity will increase!

Stephen, I don't think Castle is on Netflix. I recorded them on my DVR.

  11. I'm glad to hear you're both doing better. It's hard to believe your son is almost five and in Kindergarten. I wish my driver's license looked like a mug shot. It'd be better than the picture on it. LOL!

  12. I hope you both continue recovering and feeling better.

I've got to renew my passport too, since it expired last June. This time, I'll need to get a second, dummy passport in addition to my main passport, so I can travel to both Iran and Israel without getting in trouble at either country's customs.

I have the opposite problem re my passport; it's good through 2019 but I'm desperate for a new photo! Mine is so awful.

  14. Hope you feel better. I so enjoyed those days when my kids went the kindergarten registration. I took off work and we would make a whole day of it with lunch and some other fun.

  15. Registered my little girl for Kindergarten last month and it's so crazy. I've done it twice before but you never get over that feeling. Hope you start feeling better soon!

  16. Aw, that stupid stomach bug is the worst. So, so, sorry to hear you all had it. Hope you feel better real soon.

My daughter Faith is obsessed with Castle. She watches it all the time. It's her favorite show to watch with her dad.

Kindegarten registration is no joke. Your little boy is growing up! Best of luck to both of you with that transition :)
