Teaser Tuesday with Full Moon Rising

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
This is the first book in the Riley Jenson Guardian series by Keri Arthur. It nabbed me right away. Lots of action, a great story hook, and quite a few steamy scenes. I was afraid it was going to go over the top with a half-werewolf, half-vampire protagonist in the midst of moon fever, but it's working. Working really well!

Here's your teaser:
His laugh sent warm shivers down my spine. "One thing I love about werewolves - they're always forthright when it comes to sex." (page 37)

  3. Great cover! Not sure if it is for me, though. I'm hit and miss with the paranormal.

  4. I enjoyed this series. My teasers this week are from Shame on You by Tara Sivec and Burn Bright by Bethany Frenette. Happy reading!

  5. I like the idea of that teaser tuesday that you do. I may join that bandwagon at some point.

  6. I just finished Brinda Berry's "The Waiting Booth" and I actually have it setting beside me, so...

    Going with opening two lines:

"My life began on a Saturday. It was a life that chose me, which shouldn't have been surprising.

  7. The werewolf-vampire combination doesn't sound like something I'd be able to believe, but I try to be open-minded! If the story's good, then it might be possible to suspend disbelief. I like the Teaser you chose.
My Teaser is from SINFUL FOLK.

  10. Well! I guess if one was into werewolves, romance and sex, that would be a great book for it!

  11. I was a little wary of this one at first, but it's so much fun. Dark, gritty, and steamy! I'm already making my way through the other books in the series.

  12. I'm glad it's working, but I'm not sure I'd want to know how forthright a werewolf is when it comes to sex.
