Thank you very much to the wonderful Elizabeth Arroyo
for this cute award.
I must now tell you seven unusual things about myself.
1) My wedding ring is black with a white gold band. I don't like diamonds or yellow gold. I don't like to wear rings either. Plus, I'm quite accident prone. The ring is made from black titanium. Near indestructible!
2) I have a lot of paperclips and I'm not sure why.
3) I'm thinking of chocolate cheesecake when I should be thinking of unusual things about myself. The What's Your Chocolate? blogfest from earlier this week has stayed with me all week long.
4) I have a firm handshake. It weirds me out a bit when I shake someone's hand and theirs is limp.
5) I don't know what I'm going to be for Halloween. It might be too early to be thinking about it, but I'd like to have some time to prepare. Any suggestions?
6) I say "cool" a lot. Now my son is saying it. Will it still be a cool word to use for his generation?
7) Top items on my Christmas list for this year: a composter and a kitchen floor. Yes, I'm that exciting.
I nominate these worthy bloggers that I haven't heard from in a long time:
Very cool answers... I have an outdoors compost bin for all my green food scraps:)
ReplyDeleteWe really need one with a picky toddler. Too many scraps wasted. I do throw a lot out to the birds and squirrels, but I'd rather compost everything.
DeleteFor Halloween, dress as Abby, complete with stuffed hippo!
ReplyDeleteHehehe! That would be hilarious! Though, I don't think any but one of my friends here would get it.
DeleteHello Christine...congrats on the award and on your choice of a wedding ring...when I get married I plan on using a silver band :). May I ask you, please if you don;' mind to tell me where did you submitted your short stories? I wrote my first short story and I've submitted it to several publishing houses and they all say they don't publish short stories...I am quite lost here...Kisses have a great day.
ReplyDeleteWith short stories, you can try magazines/ezines or anthologies. There are plenty out there. Go to Ralan.com and you'll find great lists of anthologies seeking submissions and magazines accepting short stories for print.
DeleteThank you kindly Christine, I really appreciate the help :).
DeleteCongrats on your award!
ReplyDeleteI say "dude" a lot. Weird, I know... ;)
I still say dude too. Throw back to our younger days!
Deletegreat weirdness!
ReplyDeleteand black titanium? wicked!
ever hear the song? i love it!
I hate the limp handshake thing. Why even shake? I think 'cool' is going to be around for a long time.
ReplyDeletecongrats on the award! my wedding ring is also white gold.
ReplyDeleteI hope "cool" never goes away. I say it a lot too.
ReplyDelete......dhole
Awesome! Thanks, Christine!
ReplyDeleteI hate yellow gold. And I've never been into diamonds, but my engagement ring does have one. And I have to admit, it is beautiful to look at.
I also say cool ALL the time. Or "coolness," to break up the monotony of saying "cool." LOL
Loved getting to know so much more about you. I love all movies, except those horrible B films, so it was hard to choose.
ReplyDeleteParanormal romance books are my fave as well :).
Thank you for the award, Christine!
ReplyDeleteThat is very cool (ha) that you have a firm handshake. I tend to have one, too--although mine is often a very COLD, firm handshake because my hands are freezing for half the year. ;)
