Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
- Grab your current read
- Open to a random page
- Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
- BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
- Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
Here's your teaser:
"Try the library." Profession Brzezinski closed his eyes again, like an old walrus settling down on a sunny rock. "There are so many old seek-and-finds on that room, you can't find a Goddamned thing." (page 127)
Fascinating teaser...thanks for sharing.

ReplyDeleteReally fun teaser. I heard this book was a lot like Harry Potter, but I haven't read it before. Sounds really good though!!
ReplyDeleteHere's my TT
So far it is reminiscent of Harry Potter, but a strange sort of magical college hidden in NY.
DeleteNice teaser. And great cover and title.
ReplyDeleteSounds interesting. I had not heard of this one before. My to-read list is growing.
ReplyDeleteAn interesting teaser.

" ... like an old walrus settling down on a sunny rock." That sentence alone is enough to make me want to read this book. Thanks for posting it.
ReplyDeleteHere's my teaser: Sandy's Teaser
I've never read this one. My post is up!!
ReplyDeleteI really like your teaser! I'm going to have to add this book to my list.

Great teaser! I need to read this one too!
ReplyDeleteThis looks like a great read. I love the tree on the cover.
ReplyDeleteI had such high hopes for this book. But, it ended up disappointing me, and kinda leaving me annoyed at the main characters. Maybe you will find it more to your liking than I did.
ReplyDeleteIt did the same for me. I heard everyone raving about it, but it didn't wow me. I didn't like the main characters either. Too bad. I love the idea of a magic college!
DeleteTime to hang my head in shame. I haven't read this book and worse than that, I haven't even heard of it.
ReplyDeleteI'll have to see how you like this. I may have to put Lev on my TBR list. Right now I'm reading Stephen Tremp's Opening.
ReplyDelete"Are you sure? You could be great, you know, it's all here in your head, and Slytherin will help you on the way to greatness, no doubt about that--no? Well, if you're sure--better be GRYFFINDOR!"
ReplyDeleteIs it way too weird that I get excited upon reading Harry Potter quotes?!
DeleteAn intriguing quote...you're not alone... I haven't read this book either..
