I've read some books that were hard for me to get into also. Sometimes, you just gotta stretch yourself as a reader if you feel something resonates with you.

Oh I like this teaser. I enjoyed the first book in this series too, but like you, found this one more difficult. I had it from the library and needed to bring it back, so I didn't push myself to finish it. I wasn't feeling it and didnt want to be rushed. I might take it out again at another time. Hope it gets better for you as you continue on.

I've been considering this series. Sorry you aren't able to get into it. It does have a pretty cover though.
I've read that about this second book. I raced through the first one.
I've heard that about the second book too, although I haven't had a chance to read either yet.

I'm glad it isn't only me who felt this way. I didn't enjoy this book as much as the first. It picked up near the end, but I wasn't as satisfied.
Hopefully, it will get better and really grab ahold of you :)

Great teaser, but I'm sorry to hear you aren't enjoying it as much as the first book -- I hate it when that happens! Sometimes it is just so hard for the sequel(s) to live up to those debut books! Here's my TT post!
