Congratulations to the winners! I've already emailed you.
I'm working hard on the next book in the 13th Floor series. My son has stopped having naps, so I've lost a good chunk of my writing time. It's frustrating, but it was inevitable. If I'm around even less on the blogs, I hope you'll forgive me. I need to write. I had hoped he'd still take naps for another year. At least I have two mornings a week while he's in school, and starting the next school year, he'll be doing three mornings a week.
I received my first rejection for the year. It was from Tor. I was aiming high! Also, another anthology I had a story in has been cancelled. The publisher has closed down. I didn't get an email or any sort of notice. I found out on a friend's blog. Now I need to start submitting stories elsewhere because I have nothing out there at the moment.
I hope you all have a fantastic weekend! I'll see you on Monday for the Re-Introduce Myself Blogfest.
How cute is he!? Congratulations to the winners! Wow, a rejection from Tor is frame-able. Sorry to hear about the anthology. Good luck with further submissions and writing.

Congrats to the giveaway winners!
ReplyDeleteSucks about the anthology, I hope you can find somewhere new for submissions!
What an adorable kid! Would love to hear him sing :)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to the winners!
And yep, the writing time hurts in there for a few years .. but if it helps, that passes too. Sorry to hear about the anthology. I'll send you a 'virtual' cup of hot chocolate with a ton of whipped cream.
That's harsh about the anthology - you'd have thought they could write a couple of sentences in an email to all those affected.
ReplyDeleteYour son is so sweet. I hope you can find time to write - I remember that transition into no naps too well!
Congratulations to the winners.
ReplyDeleteWriting is your priority - focus on that. We understand.
Congrats to the winners!
ReplyDeleteHaving been there and done that - they grow up too quickly! Cherish him until he asks for the car keys...
Congratulations to all the winners; you're in for a treat if you've not read the books yet! :D
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear your son is no longer taking naps. I hope you can fit in some writing time around his schedule.
Also sorry the anthology you submitted to isn't being published now, and that you got rejected from Tor. Don't take it to hear though, you're an excellent writer.
I have a lovely rejection from Tor too. I like Shannon's thought that it's frameable. Maybe I'll do that.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to the winners!
Your son is a doll! I understand how you feel about the loss of naptime. I think my daughter is getting to that point, too.

Your little guy is so cute. My one son wore glasses from the time he was 18 months old. It just makes me smile to see your guy.
ReplyDeleteHuge congrats to the winners:) well done.
ReplyDeleteGood luck on getting that writing done! TOR gets so many submissions, I feel like it is not too big a slap in the face to be turned away by them.

ReplyDeleteCongrats to the winners, and all the best with placing your stories soon!
ReplyDeleteOh my word. I may have said this before, but your son is A-DOR-A-BLE! As a mom of all girls, I'm a huge sucker for such little boy cuteness. My nephews can get away with just about anything around me. LOL
