#IWSG for October 2015

The Insecure Writer's Support Group (IWSG) is the brilliant idea of Alex J. Cavanaugh. The purpose of the group is to share doubts and insecurities and to encourage one another. Please visit the other participants and share your support. A kind word goes a long way.

The awesome co-hosts for this month will be TB Markinson, Tamara Narayan, Shannon Lawrence, Stephanie Faris, and Eva E. Solar!

It's that month of things that make us squirm, give us chills, and frighten us to death. For writers, that's every month when it comes to our insecurities.

Just remember...

You are not alone. Don't pull a horror movie faux pas and go off by yourself. We can survive if we stick together.

  4. Yes, let's not be the one who goes off in the woods to check out that mysterious noise...the one who never comes back because they've been eaten by a monstrous pile of rejection letters or they've fallen in a giant plot hole... :o

Love the Pressfield and Bradbury quotes in particular. :)

  15. I like the last one the best. There are days I'm really down and wonder why I keep going, but then I get too stubborn and refuse to quit.

  22. Love the quotes and couldn't help giggling at the 'horror movie faux pas' line. A few of my past IWSG posts have been about fear, but I'm getting better! :) Enjoy the rest of your evening! Eva, IWSG Co-host

  28. I think a group of this sort is really great. Writing is very tough and you feel like you're on edge all the time in making your work good and acceptable to others while putting your own personality into it. On top of all this, they are not kidding when they say, writing is a lonely business/art. I feel like I'm finding that out more each day with my own writing experience. Thanks for the good quotes, Christine; they are very encouraging.
