Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
- Grab your current read
- Open to a random page
- Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
- BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
- Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
Here's your teaser:
He groaned and swayed as he staggered to his feet, gasping with pain, and though my Hunger was sated, something inside me reacted to the sight of a wounded, helpless creature. I half turned with a growl, fangs lengthening, before Kanin grabbed my arm and dragged me away into the darkness. (page 110)
Today is the second stop on my new FEARLESS blog tour. Come visit me at Tara Len Walker's blogtoday!

Sounds like an interesting read! I have been reading Where the Horses Run by Judith Victoria Douglas; it is a great read so far, though I've only finished half the novel. I hope you don't mind, but I shared two parts from two different pages so it would make a bit of sense and whet your interest:
ReplyDeleteI'd heard the gut-wrenching scream from the barn and knew immediately it was Tisha. I'd heard her scream before. But what could've shocked or frightened her this time? I couldn't focus because Goliath was demanding all my attention.
"Easy, Goliath," was all I could manage, patting my hand gently on his massive black neck. Fear gripped my heart, but I didn't know why (p 19).
"I have watched for you a very long time, Cikala Wichapi, Little Star. You have a question. Ask it." He never took his eyes off of me.
"Where am I? Is this a dream? Will I understand why the horses were taken?"
"Yes, and that will give you wisdom to act. You have an important task to complete" (p 86).
Good luck Christine with the blog tour!
