Teaser Tuesday with Divergent

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
I finally got my copy of Divergent by Veronica Roth from the library. It had a huge reserved list, but it was well worth the wait. It's an intriguing YA dystopian with a fresh voice. I love the world Roth has created. So many possibilities!

Here's your teaser:
This is crazy, and I know it. A fraction of an inch of mistake, half a second of hesitation, and my life is over. (page 146)

    Excellent teaser. already read Divergent and Insurgent. Enjoyed both and Ms. Roth's style.

    i read that. good to read it this far after hunger games, very similar themes...
    but well told and better romantic connection =)

    tbr list is long and insurgent is on xmas list =)

    Nice teaser. I haven't read this one yet. It's on my TBR list, too. My parents just sent me their copy of Hunger Games. That sort of makes me blush to say that ...
