Friday Five for May 10, 2013

1. Only three more days until the official release and blog tour of THE ORACLE & THE VAMPIRE. It's the fifth book in my 13th Floor series. You can be one of the first people to get the book on Amazon, B&N, Kobo, and Smashwords. There's only one more book left in the series, and the big secret will be revealed next Friday with the cover!

2. I've been finishing off my blog tour posts and getting organized this week. I'd like to do a blog make-over, but I'm not sure what I'll do. Something to consider after the tour. Any suggestions?

3. It's Mother's Day this Sunday. An early Happy Mother's Day to all the moms, grandmas, and like-moms out there. I'll be visiting the in-laws this weekend with a grumpy husband and toddler to soothe. Copious amounts of ice cream are in order.

4. The next few weeks are going to be extremely busy. Good thing I have all the blog tour stuff out and ready! Dentist appointments, school events, a sleep study with the university, a birthday party, and a possible monarch butterfly talk at the park. I'm not sure if there's suppose to be a lot of butterflies there at that time or not, but it will be really cool if there is.

5. My son is beginning to tell great stories and battle dragons in the yard with wooden swords. This summer is going to be a grand adventure! Bonus: the boy can get my husband to sing "Call Me Maybe" for him. Hilarious!

Have a marvelous weekend!

  1. I absolutely adore the first four books in the 13th Floor series, so--needless to say--I can't wait for The Oracle & the Vampire! :D

I've been tweaking my own blog layout a bit, too. I don't really have any suggestions when it comes to that, since I tend to just "wing it," but good luck figuring out something for your own blog!

Also, LOL at how your son can get your husband to sing "Call Me Maybe." Too cute!

Hope you have a great Mother's Day! :)

I've enjoyed all the books so far, I've started rereading them again before the new one.

  3. awww, I love watching my son battle imaginary foes, as well as using his imagination. He has also started to create his own stories too. I guess they watch us and get inspired to give it ago.
I have yet to read the books from your stories, but will definitely be adding them to my reading list.
Hope you have a lovely day today. love and hugs xx

  4. Sleep study?
All set for you to rock the blogging world next week.
If you need a new banner (and since you write paranormal) I'd suggest Jeremy Hawkins. He did my banner. I think he could give you the look you'd want.

  13. Can't wait to read how the series ends!

You've got a full plate but sounds like you're handling it very well. A sleep study sounds excellent if I was one of those being tested! Also, I can't remember what town it was, but I saw a nature programme about an American town where thousands of monarch butterflies migrate to every year. All the kids and even dogs have a parade wearing giant butterfly wings.

  16. Congrats for THE ORACLE & THE VAMPIRE!! The title alone sounds so awesome! But I thought there would be at least 13 books in your 13th Floor series. (;

  17. For a blog makeover - I really dig the cover design theme for the 13th floor series, would that appeal for a blog look as well? It's that rich photographic quality of arresting color against black that I really like.

Happy Mothers Day to you and here's to your sunny, dragon-fighting boy! :-)

  18. I love my kids' fantasy play! I want them both to be smart AND creative. Kids of creatives have it rough. ;)

Excellent list! I hope you get to see a bunch of butterflies. They're amazing.
