Teaser Tuesday with Die For Me

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page

This one has been on my to-read list for a while. I finally managed to pick up Amy Plum's Die For Me from the library. The cover is gorgeous, but I'm having a little trouble sinking into the plot.
Here's your teaser:
The whoosh of air that precedes the train came gusting through the tunnel, and the man looked up. Calmly placing his briefcase on the ground, he crouched down, and using one hand to steady himself on the edge of the platform, he jumped down onto the tracks. (page 55)

    Sounds interesting. I have seen this book around but haven't had a chance to look at it yet. My teasers this week are from The Shadow Society by Marie Rutkoski and Dangerous Affairs by Diana Miller. Happy reading!

    Well that's a terrible line to leave us hanging on...sheesh! Now I want to know what happens next. It was a great snippet, sorry the actual book didn't live up.
