Teaser Tuesday with Outlander

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)

I'm branching out from a romance that's a little paranormal but more historical. There's been a lot of hype around Diana Gabaldon's Outlander. It's a thick book. Too thick perhaps?
Here's your teaser:
We rolled on the wet grass in a tangle of skirts and squeals. Letting go of her blouse at last, I relaxed into a dramatically spread-eagle heap, rain pattering down on my upturned face. (page 177)

    I read this one years ago and LOVED it. Hope you are too. One day I'll re-read it and then move on to the rest of the books in the series.

    I've heard so many great things about the Outlander series, but I'm not sure if I'm up to the challenge. Aren't there like seven books so far?

      Yeah, there's a lot of books. It was really good, but not a fast read. I haven't picked up the second yet.

    I loved this book so much, but haven't continued the series yet...Great Teaser!
