I've read some books that were hard for me to get into also. Sometimes, you just gotta stretch yourself as a reader if you feel something resonates with you.

Oh I like this teaser. I enjoyed the first book in this series too, but like you, found this one more difficult. I had it from the library and needed to bring it back, so I didn't push myself to finish it. I wasn't feeling it and didnt want to be rushed. I might take it out again at another time. Hope it gets better for you as you continue on.

I'm glad it isn't only me who felt this way. I didn't enjoy this book as much as the first. It picked up near the end, but I wasn't as satisfied.

ReplyDeleteGreat teaser, but I'm sorry to hear you aren't enjoying it as much as the first book -- I hate it when that happens! Sometimes it is just so hard for the sequel(s) to live up to those debut books! Here's my TT post!
